Paul Kennedy (8th OB)
In the 2017/18 season Paul scored 39 goals for his Club, 8th OB, which was in line with the 30 goals he has scored each season for the last five. This is made more remarkable by 8th OB typically finishing mid-table in the Premiership, while his teammates were keep to highlight the humility and unselfishness he demonstrates.

Alan Meekin & Ryan Meekin (Comber Young Men)
Brothers Alan and Ryan achieved double League success in the 2016/17 for Comber Young Men, with Ryan leading their 1st XI to the Premiership, while Alan managed their 2nd XI to Division 2a, as well as completing the clean sweep by winning the Mervyn Bassett and Tommy Murphy. This was Alan’s second title in a row, having won Division 2b in 2015/16,

Conrad Kirkwood (Abbey Villa)
Conrad joined the DAWFL in 1998, standing down as Vice Chairman at the 2011 AGM, but had been vice chairman from 2009 to 2011. His father was a former DAWFL Secretary and Conrad was pleased to be Secretary for the 2008/09 season. He has represented the DAWFL at the County Antrim FA on the Junior Shield Committee since 1998 and was Vice Chairman from 2007 to 2009 and Chairman from 2009 to 2011. He was the first DAWFL official to hold those honours. He was on the IFA Junior Cup Committee from 2004 to 2010, the IFA Disciplinary Committee from 2008 to 2010. He was appointed to the Irish FA Executive Board in October 2010 following his election to the IFA Council in June 2010. In 2015 Conrad was appointed onto the UEFA Fair Play and Social Responsibility Committee, the same year as he stepped down from the DAWFL Committee.

Jimmy Fegan
Jimmy holds the position of DAWFL Referee Convenor and is responsible for appointing and organising the Referees within the League. The award is to recognise the hard work and effort he has put in over the years, ensuring that both our League and Cup games have officials.

Dennis Nash
Dennis needs no introduction, as he has been reporting on sport in the local area for 60 years and known throughout all disciplines. His assistance and work over the years has been invaluable to both the League itself and its clubs.

William Heron (Bryansburn Rangers)
William has been Secretary of Bryansburn every year except one since the DAWFL was formed. He missed that solitary year due to serious illness. This award recognises his contribution as Club Secretary and the tremendous work which he carries out behind the scenes of his club

Mervyn Bassett (Comber Star)
The award recognised Mervyn’s long association with the DAWFL He was a Committee Member from the mid 1970s and served as Chairman after the passing of Frank Moore. He also acted as Registrations Secretary of the League for many years. The award also recognises his contribution as a founder member of Comber Star with whom he is still involved today.
Fair Play Awards
This trophy was donated to the DAWFL by former Churches League Chairman Brian McGaughey and was formerly a trophy in that league. The Award was initiated in the 2009/2010 season. It is awarded to the team with the best disciplinary record or in recognition of an outstanding act of fair play.
